A couple of miles away and surrounded by the Eo bay, is a beautiful village set on a hill.
Described by the local authorities as a 'natural paradise', they are accurate in their description. Because of its location, the area combines a wonderful landscape, combined with tiny beaches, coves, valleys and rivers. The mouth of the Eo River forms a natural boundary with the region of Galicia. The river is almost 10km long and averages 800m in width. It has been designated a protected area due to the wildlife present. The village is situated on a small hill and consists of white houses with slate roofs. Boasting original cobbled streets and a church which dominates the village skyline.
A couple of miles away and on the Galician border of the Eo bay is the lively, comercial centre of the area.
